This motor has only been operating for a day now, but so far so good. It is very quiet compared to the OE one which was failing.

    A couple small issues:

    * The 2 holes seem a bit large for the self-tapping screws. They threaded in very easily, but did snug up OK.

    * The terminals in the connector are free to move around a bit. At first it would not mate with the connector for the freezer wiring. Initially I thought maybe it was the wrong size/type, but I found that if I held the 3 wires and wiggled them I could get the connectors to mate.

    * The original motor was made by A.O. Smith. This motor is mfr'd by Huayi. None of the parts vendors I checked had an A.O. Smith motor. One had photos of the A.O. Smith part, but when I received it, it was Huayi. It cost twice as much so I returned it and ordered this one.

  • Great replacement.
