It was wired for an exact fit. I plugged it in and it started running.

I did not have to rewire it. I checked the wiring and it was an exact fit . I just had to plug it in and it worked great.

I went through 2 motors. Was informed this is the 1st malfunction so that's a positive note. The 1st one came with terrible wiring diagram and no smaller connectors but the 2nd set was top quality minus copper but for the price you wont get copper duh. Thank you for coming through and helping me with my dryer when I needed it. Quick response. Thats A+ in my book

WHIRLPOOL 279827 DRYER DRIVE MOTOR REPLACEMENT
Motor was a direct physical replacement for the original. The serpentine pulley was one groove thinner. The wiring was different. The motor came with a rewiring diagram. Three of the 1/4" connectors had to be cut off and replaced with provided 1/8" crimp connectors. I had trouble with one. (My only problem!) Don't forget the grounding wire! It arrived days early. And the price crushed the competition. New life to a 28 year old dryer!
